Information Science And Engineering
The Department of Information Science & Engineering emphasizes the fields of Information Science & Computer Network Engineering and Domain Specific Applications so as to facilitate the evolution of skills in students to help them attain a higher degree of knowledge, global competency and excellence, for the betterment of the society.
The department of Information Science was started in the year 1999 affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, approved by AICTE, New Delhi, Accredited by NAAC, New Delhi, and recognized by the Government of Karnataka. B.E ISE is a Four – year Graduation program having eight semesters.
The Department also offer two M.Tech Programs, M.Tech(Computer Network Engineering) and M.Tech (Information Technology)

The prime focus is to promote the effective integration of technology with state-of-the-art facilities in teaching and research activities. The curriculum offered by the department focuses on problem solving, design, development and application of various emerging technologies. Research programs of the department aim to establish a strong component of practical engagement with private enterprises. The department has always established a strong industry-institute relationship.
The department aims to provide the best Information Technology based solutions and value-added services. The focus is on holistic learning to help the students to make significant contributions at all levels and to meet the expectations of stakeholders.
The placement record of the department had always been impressive. The faculty members are highly motivated and devoted in delivering the highest quality professional education to students, and strive to excel in their research areas. The program also includes industrial visits, case study analysis, conferences, workshops and seminars to impart the real application of the subjects by in house as well as industry experts in different areas.
